The Best Book I Read This Year

I’m amazed at how much reading I got done this year, to be honest not because of a lack of time but because of how busy this year was. Anyhoo, the truth is it’s hard to pick but I did enjoy reading a book on #leadership and #management called #therulesofmanagement. ⠀

Fam, what was the best book you read this year? ⠀

My Favourite Place To Read

I really enjoy reading in any quiet space, to be honest, and it depends on where I am. ⠀

Sometimes my bedroom which is the most ideal place to read has noise filtering in either from the neighbour’s house or inside our house. A quiet, peaceful spot is always ideal. ⠀

Fam, what’s your favourite place to read? ⠀

The Most Meaningful Book I’ve Ever Read

This writing challenge is low key now making me sound like a broken record, to be honest. It defo has to be the #Bible and no, I’m not saying it to sound super religious or anything like that. It truly is a meaningful book because it is. ⠀

The Bible is the most meaningful book around there is and believe me when I say that. I have a read A LOT, A LOT of books and none of them even come close to having as much depth, wisdom and understanding. ⠀

It’s funny even the Bible itself says it quite plainly, humans will come and go, literally, generations will be born and die and time will literally pass away. ⠀

Even the words written on gravestones will become weathered and future generations won’t be able to read those but the Bible? It’s going to be here till #Jesus comes back. ⠀

Why? Simply because it’s the only Book which actually gives meaning to this sometimes seemingly meaningless life. ⠀

It’s also the only book that I’ve read more than once and every single time, the words come alive in a fresh and powerful way and have a way of pointing me in the right direction. ⠀

Why? Simply because it’s God-breathed and it has its own life-giving power and is meaningful! ⠀

Fam, what’s the most meaningful book you’ve ever read? ⠀

What Was Your Favourite Book As A Child?

It’s funny, considering the fact that I love #reading and #writing and #books, I’m drawing a blank. I think it’s mostly because I was probably too young to remember anything since I’m being asked specifically to write about childhood. ⠀

Hmmm, that’s a tough one. I honestly can’t remember what my favourite book was as a child but I remember I loved to draw and fill out colouring books. 😁🤷😁⠀

I remember my mom would always bring me back books like that to colour and fill in when I was a child and I always looked forward to drawing in them. ⠀

I also like comic books and I remember in my grandparent’s house, they had a lot of publications which had cartoon drawings and comics in them. I loved to read those but I think I was a bit older by then. ⠀

Anyways fam, what was your favourite book as a child? ⠀ ⠀

My Favourite Books

On Friday, I talked about how my favourite fictional character is #HarryPotter so it goes without saying that I’m a HUGE fan of all the books by #jkrowling. ⠀

I read so much, it’s really hard to now come out and name others apart from the Harry Potter books. ⠀

Of course, my favourite Book of all time is the #Bible. I mean, what’s not to love? It has everything! Sound teachings and doctrines, Drama (Book of #Esther anyone?) Comedy, Betrayal, Romance, Art, Literature, Engineering (there’s a part that talks about soundings being taken. If you know, you know), Epic real life stories (I mean the parting of the Red Sea just blows my mind!). ⠀

The Bible has Proverbs, love songs and poetry (Songs of Solomon and Ecclesiastes). It has quite a bit of human anger and rage expressed in such dramatic and poetic fashion (Psalms anyone?). ⠀

So there you have it guys, which reminds me…what are YOUR favourite books?⠀
